You will soon get married and you want a session ? Or maybe you just want a session so your relationships and emotions are captured on images ? But you do not know what to expect!
At first, expect me to laugh when you tell me that you have never done a photo shoot and you are not comfortable in front of a camera. 95% of my clients start with this sentence 🙂 I promise you that once we have done your session, all these fears will be gone.
Also expect to laugh a lot and have fun. Of me because I’m used to stumbling all the time. To laugh when you tell me your little stories that I love. Just expect to laugh and smile because you spend a wonderful time.
First of all, we will talk together about who you are, what you like to do together, what drives you, if you have common passions, favorite places, and so on. The goal is to get to know each other. It is very important for me to know you well in order to have images that look like you and that correspond to you.
The goal is not to put you straight and make you smile in front of the camera, on the contrary. What I like about engagement sessions (like weddings for that matter) is to capture your real emotions.
To have a result like what you can see on my portfolio the session must be well prepared. The outfits, the place but also the schedule, etc.
When to make your engagement session?
Many couples like to do their session in the opposite season to their wedding. If you’re getting married in the middle of the summer, why not do your session in winter or fall? And if you get married in the winter, let’s do sunny pictures. Also plan to contact me approximately 1 to 2 months before your session to reserve your date so you do not have to postpone the date you had planned for your Engagement session. The months between April and September are extremely requested … In addition, I could advise you the best time to do your session.
Before the session, we will also determine the location for your Engagement session. You are rather a fun couple who likes to laugh and run on the beach or a rather quiet couple who loves the evenings in front of a good film by the fire (Netflix & Chill) ? There are millions of possibilities that are all equally beautiful. The most important thing (and I will often repeat it) is that the place matches you and has a meaning for you.
Some examples of places:
– The place of your first meeting
– The place of your first kiss
– Your neighbourhood
– A place where you enjoy walking around
– A city in which you lived or where you still live
– Your house, between sofa and bed by the fire
Once the place is chosen, you must choose the outfits! For this, nothing more simple, dress as you would for the place you chose. And above all, dress in the same vibe. If one of you is dressed to go to the opera and the other is in beachwear, you will have a big difference on your pictures !

Once the outfits and the venue have been chosen, all you have to do is to let me take pictures ! The most important thing is to have fun. I will guide you throughout your session for the poses and we will have during the session several small games that will allow me to capture your real emotions and the connection between you two.
Whether you are together for 15 days or 15 years the most important thing is that you are yourself!
I do not expect you to be professional models on the day of your session. I work all the time with everyday couples who are not used to posing. I will guide you and know how to put you at ease in front of the camera. Do not be nervous before your session, everything will be fine and your photos will be beautiful. Trust me and you’ll have a great session!
